Trick -or- Treat Downtown

Downtown Ferndale businesses welcome all children and pups of all ages to stop by for an afternoon filled with human treats and dog treats on Saturday, October 28, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
A SPECIAL NOTE FROM THE FERNDALE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY:
- Be safe and obey all signs
- Watch out for cars and traffic
- Only use crosswalks and always look both ways before crossing
- Please watch your step!
- Stay on sidewalks
- Plan your route in advance
- Have fun! (and brush your teeth)

When you think of Halloween, you think of costumes. Dressing up is a fun opportunity for people of all ages to express themselves in unique and creative ways. Downtown Ferndale wanted to share a reminder to be mindful of costumes that can be degrading to others.
We believe that everyone should feel welcome in Downtown Ferndale, because we take great pride in our city. Many of us have grown up with “normal” costumes that portrayed ideas of a specific race, ethnicity, religion, or gender identity. Now is a great time to consider whether our costumes might include insensitive attire or accessories, and think about what messages they send… even if we didn’t realize it.
